La primera reunión fue muy exitosa / The first meetup went great!

Asistieron doce personas de distintas niveles de conocimiento del idioma. / We had 12 people out. Varying levels of Spanish. Lots of good ideas and discussion. We did a warmup/icebreaker activity (bingo to find people who answered yes to, for example, Tienes hijos?). We also did a round where each person says how their day/week was and others ask questions. At the end we did a quick run through of a song, "De Colores".

Al final realizamos una breve evaluación. / We did a brief evaluation at the end. Comments included (at least, the ones I from my messy notes that I can read!):

• Buen comienzo.
• Bingo was fun.
  
• Would like to learn verbos en el pasado.
• Appreciate other participants offering corrections.
• Some beginners found it hard to follow some of the group conversation. Would be good to have some streamed activities for people at different levels.

We'll try a few things out the next couple of meetups including small group work and a Spanish language board game, "Preguntados". Feel free to share ideas and suggestions as comments on this post.
